Antioxidants in diet can keep skin young
That is according to Louise Thomas-Minns, skin therapist and founder of Uandyourskin.co.uk.
She said: "Incorporating antioxidants into your skincare and diet will protect the skin from further damage and can work to reverse some of the damage if used in higher levels."
Ms Thomas-Minns said that it is vital to protect skin from UV rays if people want to maintain a youthful appearance.
Her comments come in light of data from a controlled pilot study, which was published in the peer-review journal Menopause, and showed that a supplement could help to improve the appearance of wrinkles.
Natural S-equol, a soy germ-based nutritional supplement, was found to improve the appearance of crow's feet around the eyes of menopausal Japanese women.
