I lost 2 ½ stone with the Gi diet

When Chris stumbled upon our site last summer, he found inspiration in the Success Stories on the site. Little did he know that just a few months later, he’d be featuring as a Super Success himself! With a loss of
2 ½ stone, Chris is surely an inspiration to encourage others to follow in his footsteps!

Chris started his online plan with us, weighing in at
13 st 10 lbs. Although he stands tall at 5’ 10”, his extra weight gave him a BMI of 28, well into the overweight category. Now only 6 months later Chris weighs a lean 11 st 2 lbs, giving him a BMI of 23. And as you can see from his photo, he’s also shed a few clothes sizes in the process!

So what prompted Chris to go online and lose weight? “The turning point was when my trousers burst open one day when I went out without a belt. And these trousers were big in comparison to how I saw myself. I’d never really thought of myself as a fat person – it just sort of crept up on me.”

"I knew I’d be able to give it a go because I could get my shopping list online and then go and do all my shopping online. Unlike other diets I have tried in the past, this diet plan just makes sense!"

Chris had also endured some teasing from his daughter about his weight! “I was sick of having what my daughter charmingly refers to as ‘moobs’ which are man boobs! Another factor was that I was too fat to run or even drive without my man boobs bouncing, and I was too fat to do up my trousers!”

“The online aspect of this weight loss programme was the decider for me. I knew I’d be able to give it a go because I could get my shopping list online and then go and do all my shopping online. Unlike other diets I have tried in the past, this diet plan just makes sense!

As a result of his weight loss, Chris has loads more energy and feels fantastic. “I don’t have that 3pm energy slump anymore! It’s great to be able to fit into my clothes properly and be able to move. I feel like the real me! I’ve recently started Jui Jitsu so that will help me to tone up now. The great thing about exercise when you are the right weight is that you can see the results!

Chris’ wife has been very supportive in his weight loss mission and even tried out the plan herself to keep him company. Some of his friends have even joined up as a result of the success Chris has enjoyed.

Chris finishes by letting us in on the secret to his success - and it's not rocket science! “This plan worked for me because it was straight forward and I stuck to it. It said I’d lose 2 lbs a week and I did! It may have taken a little longer towards the end but by then I understood what to do, and was taking a few liberties. Above all, the plan was enjoyable and I was nowhere near as hungry as you’d expect. I’m in control of my weight now and I intend to stay that way!”
