Karen finds a plan to beat her cravings!

Karen admits that previous dieting attempts failed dismally. She didn’t enjoy the foods she was eating so she found it difficult to maintain enthusiasm and sure enough any weight loss success was short lived.

“I tried low fat diets but cheated a lot! My main meals were all lower in fat but my snacks were not good; I ate plenty of chocolate, crisps, cheese and drank too much red wine.”

Karen embraced the concept behind the Low Carb plan and she was delighted with how easy it was to stick to. She no longer felt the urge to snack on junk food and the constant pangs of hunger that seemed to plague her disappeared. Even when Karen came face to face with food temptations she resisted the urge to stray from the Low Carb plan because she knew the consequences would set her progress way back.

“You can’t cheat with the Low Carb plan. If you do you throw yourself much further back than on other diets. Some people have the misconception that low carb diets are unhealthy but it can be very good for you. My carb choices are usually salad, vegetables and berries and then I eat protein foods whenever I feel like it. I only use cream and cheese in moderation.”

Karen’s progress has been gradual but steady and even during those weeks of slower weight loss she remained set on achieving her target weight. She is determined to maintain her newly toned shape and with the tips she has picked up from the meal plans and her friends on the Low Carb support board there is no doubt that she will remain an avid follower of the plan for the foreseeable future.

“Make the right choices and plan plan plan! The Low Carb plan can be very satisfying and sometimes you will feel like skipping meals because you are not hungry but make sure you eat 3 main meals and have the snack. Also drink plenty of water; it can help banish those cravings!”
