Karl loses 3 stone 10 lbs

Karl was under no illusions about his weight problem, simply put he needed to lose weight but he never mustered up the motivation to do anything about his expanding waist. That all changed when his wife Deane registered with the Healthy Eating plans, Karl finally had the support network he needed to begin his weight loss journey.

“It wasn’t until I reached 20 stone that I decided to make a determined effort to lose weight. Deane, my then fiancée, had been following the plans for 2 weeks with notable results so I joined too.”

This time Karl's weight loss attempt reaped rewards, he lost a fantastic 3 stone 10 lbs, improved his fitness and no doubt insured himself against future obesity related conditions like heart disease. “With my weight loss I am more confident about my appearance, I feel healthier and believe I have greater control over my eating habits.”

Karl feels much more comfortable in his clothes now and he no longer cowers away from shops. “It was very difficult to find clothes to fit comfortably which did little for my self-esteem. Now the range of clothing available to me is much greater and I am happier with the way I look. No longer do I get out of breath climbing up the stairs.”

Karl’s fondness of take aways and chocolate bars were major reasons for his weight gain but the Gi plan helped him to develop new healthy habits.

“Prior to my diet I would eat too many take-aways but rarely any fruit. During the day I wouldn’t eat enough calories which would lead me to snack on unhealthy foods like chocolate. Now, when I want a snack, I choose low fat alternatives. With the Healthy Eating Plans I am making my own dinners from scratch and appreciating the variety of meals available.”

With continued encouragement from his wife Karl is in no doubt that he can maintain his weight loss. He also puts a lot of trust in the meal plans and their importance in keeping him on track.

“The plans have taught me to appreciate a balanced diet and maintain my weight loss even after the diet. This is unlike some other diet plans where you eat or drink supplements which replace real food.”

Karl is determined to always remember how it felt to be a larger man and use those memories to help him on his weight loss journey. “With the knowledge I have gained from the diet and the photos of me pre-diet as an incentive, I know I can continue and maintain my weight loss.”
