Sally-Anne loses 2 stone 11 lbs on the Gi diet plan
Finding a photo of herself looking less than svelte on holidays spurred Sally-Anne to join the Gi plan and get back in shape. The thought of fitting into her motorbike leathers was a major motivator for losing weight. Sally-Anne lost a fantastic 2 stone 11 lbs and regained her love of life.
Sally-Anne tells us her story…
What made you decide to join us?
The turning point came after seeing a photo of myself on a family holiday, and I thought…yuck. When my motorbike leathers no longer fitted, I thought enough was enough. I decided to lose a little to fit into them by the Spring. They are too big for me now.
Was your weight causing you any problems?
My self-confidence was low as I seemed not to fit the biker babe description. I felt so much better, when my leathers fitted. I was always fed up when I went shopping for clothes as there was so much on offer. I was afraid of going to a shop that didn’t do my size. Swimming was also a big issue for me.
Tell us about your diet?
I always tried to be good, thinking that I knew what I was supposed to do, but as I found out it is all to do with the portions and variety. Work is hard, we don’t have set breaks, so I used to pick at my food and I would eat whatever I could just to avoid the hunger. Now I take all the food I’m allowed for the day and pace myself by eating 5 smaller meals throughout the shift. It works for me.
Has exercise played any role in helping you to lose weight?
I only started to exercise after losing around 2 stone. Up until then, I hadn’t done anything. I now go to the gym to tone up, and I really enjoy it. Aqua deep is great fun; the only problem now is fitting everything into 24 hours.
What difference has losing weight made to you?
New Leathers! I dropped from a size 18 to a size 10. Now I have a new wardrobe and people are so complimentary. My husband loves me no matter what. It’s changed me as a person too, I don’t hide behind a false smile anymore. My smile is all real.
What did you think of the Gi plan?
It's just the best. The diet plans are created for you. Weigh-in is always scary but the support in the response is so encouraging that you want to keep going.
Have you any other information you would like to give?
The plans are fool proof, but you have to want to do it. I sing the praises of the diet all the time, and I have friends at work that are doing it because they see how well I am doing.
